Welcome to Karikari Kayaking

We are based at the northern end of Tokerau Beach on the Karikari Peninsula in New Zealands’s Far North. Our operation covers the Doubtless Bay area from Mangonui to Rangiputa.

Tokerau Beach, the western part of Doubtless Bay, is a 17km sandy beach offering a safe water sport area. There are no tidal rips and at wind speeds up to 8 knots, the conditions for kayaking are perfect. The northern end of Tokerau Beach has an exciting coastline, with small reefs, bays, caves, and a lot of sea life.

We have over 30 years experience in surfing, kayaking and canoeing (sea and white water) and are Coastguard and Maritime Safety certified. Safety is a priority, First Aid and CPR qualified.

The Karikari Peninsula has an amazing diversity of environments so it is always possible to find the right conditions for the ability of the group. We can explore the miles of beautiful coastline discovering the abundance of wildlife and much more…
